She was born Oct. 31, 1913, in Rector to the late Dewitt and Auda Huckabay. A homemaker, she had worked as a cook at Lafe High School and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Rector.
She also was preceded in death by her husbands, Vergil Brown, George Roofe and Arlon Presson, and three brothers, Lawrence, Enoch and Dinver Huckabay.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Dorothy Brown of Paragould; four daughters, Johnnie Goodman of Rector, Judy and Jamie Townsend of Melbourne, Fla., Runell and Tom Nance of Melbourne, Fla., and Donna Meneth of Michigan; two brothers, Don Huckabay of Lafe and Sam Huckabay of Gary, Ind.; three sisters, Vivian Pentecost of Paragould, Margaret Messmer of Griffith, Ind., and Pat Martin of Rector; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Don Morris officiating. Burial was in Providence Cemetery near Marmaduke with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Dewayne Huckabay, Timothy Huckabay, Larry Huckabay, Allen Martin, Eddie Martin, Patrick Huckabay and Harlan Hill.
