Alan L. Strauser, 41, of Jonesboro died Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at his home. He had lived most of his life in Jonesboro and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He spent the first two years of his life in the Shriner's St. Louis Hosiptal for Children.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bryan and Flora McCrady and Charlie and Lovie Strauser.

He is survived by his parents, Dr. Shirl and Jean Strauser of Jonesboro, and a sister and brother-in-law, Deana and Paul Johnston of Balk Knob.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro with Rev. Rex Dickey officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Paul Johnston, Jordan Johnston, Dennis Noell, Donald Hunter, Sherland Hamilton and Bill Timmons.
