Julia Brewer Gober

Julia Brewer Gober, 87, of Ada, Okla., formerly of Rector, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at Ada.

Born Jan. 15, 1918, in Black Oak to the late John Henry and Hattie Stine Brewer, she attended school and graduted from Rector High School. She was married to Charles M. Gober on Dec. 26, 1941, in Rector. He preceded her in death May 3, 2003.

She moved to Tulsa and attended business school there. She and her husband lived in the Tulsa area until 1972, when they moved back to Rector. They moved back to Ada in 1976.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Ada.

Also preceding her in death was a brother, John Brewer Jr.

Survivors include one son, Charlie Gober of Ada; two daughters, Nina Gober Mauch and husband, Don, and Gloria Gober, all of Ada; two sisters, Camille B. Boyce of San Diego and Frances B. Haas of Rector; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Brewer of Easley, S.C., and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Ada with Rev. Dennis Tate and Dr. Tom Yarbrough officiating. Burial was in Rosedale Cemetery.
