Nellie Geneveive Wright Vineyard, 82, of Rector died Tuesday Dec. 13, 2005, in Rector.

Born April 1, 1923, in Rector to the late James Theron Wright and Lina Delilah Patterson, she managed a Credit Union, was politically active and a member of First Christian Church in Piggott. She was married to Raymond Clayton Vineyard on May 30, 1940. He preceded her in death Dec. 7, 2000.

She also was preceded in death by three sisters, Onu Flurey, Evelyn Rust and Eva Wright; a son-in-law, Dennis Hedrick, on Nov. 7, 2004, and one brother, Herman Polk Wright.

Survivors include one son, Ray Rocklyn Vineyard and wife Marcia of Alvin, Texas; one daughter, Christa Hedrick of Rector; two grandchildren, Travis Vineyard and wife Amanda, and Karen Kristine Simpson and husband Mark; one sister, Pansy Marie Parr of League City, Texas, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Rev. Larry Martineau officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Travis Vineyard, Mark Simpson, Harleton Sheffield, Tommy Clevenger, Royal Dudley and Jim Stone.
