A homemaker, she was born Feb. 17, 1929, in McDougal to the late George and Ada (Micenhammer) Nixon. She was married Feb. 18, 1946, to Clinton Gilbee, who died June 3, 1989. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna and Ethel, and two brothers, Albert and Arby Nixon.
She was a member of Corning Y Pentecostal Church at Corning.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Gilbee of Paragould, Gary Gilbee of Rector and Mark Gilbee of Corning; four daughters, Sue Pillow, Carolyn Evans, Sharon Byars and Betty Gilbee Tyler, all of Corning; one foster daughter, Kimberly Ferguson of North Carolina; two brothers, Virgil Nixon and Kenneth Nixon, both of Corning; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl McKinney officiating.
Ermert Funeral Home of Corning was in charge of the arrangements.
