Kristie Telani McConnell

Kristie Telani McConnell, 48, of Rector died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at the Med in Memphis following a car accident. She was an organ donor and helped to save three lives.

Born Oct. 17, 1957, in Flint, Mich., she lived in Memphis prior to moving to Rector. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Rector, a member of the church choir and a guest gospel singer in several area churches. She was employed by Paragould Nursing Center.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rev. Henry E. Duffle, Rev. C.H. McConnell and E.C. and Blanche Calvin.

Survivors include one son, Jeffery Heim of King of Prussia, Pa.; her parents, Jack and Jayne Calvin of Rector; three sisters, Allicia and Robert Wiseman of Paragould, Courtney Calvin of Rector and Kaycee and Tracy Glasgow of Paragould; five nieces, Kaylee Calvin, Addie Parrish, Jillian Glasgow, Mandi Kimble and Candi Franks; one nephew, Jack Henry Glasgow, and her maternal grandmother, Freeda Duffle Landrum of Rector.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 23) at the First General Baptist Church in Rector with Marston Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Robert Wiseman, Tracy Glasgow, Jonathan Duffle, Timothy Duffle, Ricky Vaught and Paul Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Martin, Jim Martin, Scott Wheeler and Jim Mabrey.
