Eva Gilbee, 76, of Corning died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at Rector Healthcare.

A homemaker, she was born Feb. 17, 1929, in McDougal to the late George and Ada (Micenhammer) Nixon. She was married Feb. 18, 1946, to Clinton Gilbee, who died June 3, 1989. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna and Ethel, and two brothers, Albert and Arby Nixon.

She was a member of Corning Y Pentencostal Church at Corning.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Gilbee of Paragould, Gary Gilbee of Rector and Mark Gilbee of Corning; four daughters, Sue Pillow, Carolyn Evans, Sharon Byars and Betty Gilbee Tyler, all of Corning; two brothers, Virgil Nixon and Kenneth Nixon, both of Corning, 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight (Wednesday, Nov. 16) at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl McKinney officiating.
