He was born July 21, 1938, in Lawrence County to the late Otto and Faye (Davis) Richey and was married Feb. 2, 1988, in Marmaduke to Phyllis (Morgan) Richey. He was a member of the Marmaduke First Baptist Church and had been a Jaycee.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Richey, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Ginger Richey and Charles Keith and Debbie Richey, all of Marmaduke; one daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Terry Wilson of Walnut Ridge; seven brothers, Otis Richey and Bud Richey of Phoenix, Ariz., Eugene Richey and Rodney Richey of Paragould, Roger Richey of Jonesboro, Carl Richey of Benton and Gary Richey of Paragould; four sisters, Irene Hawley of Marmaduke, Martha Kamarat of Jacksonville, Fla., Mada Barrett of Lumberton, Texas, and Brenda Jordan of Marmaduke, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Marmaduke with Carl Richey and Kim Bridges officiating. Burial was in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery near Marmaduke. Pallbearers were his nephews.
