James Ray Chadwick Moore

James Ray Chadwick Moore, 63, formerly of Rector, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, in Rockford, Ill.

He was a well known shoeshine boy for local barber shops and was an avid sports lover. He attended Rector High School and also served in the Arkansas National Guard.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Opal Moore Dorris Johnson; his father, Claude Moore; his step-father, Ernie Dorris; maternal grandparents, James L. and Rosa Chadwick; paternal grandparents, Ed and Lizzie Moore; uncles, Elder D.W. Chadwick and Charles Chadwick, and aunts, Eliza Raney and Betty Mansfield.

Survivors include his son, Justin Akre; uncles and aunts, Oral Chadwick of Piggott, Leona Thomason of Cashmere, Wash., Lester Mansfield of Marmaduke, Elder David O. and Barbara Chadwick of Lexington, Ky., J.D. and Nelda Chadwick of Rector and Elder Mike and Faye Chadwick of Piggott, several cousins and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held Sept. 26 in Rockford with Fitzgerald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A graveside memorial service was held Sept. 29 at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Elder Mike Chadwick officiating.
