Born Jan. 28, 1904, in Clay County to the late William Earl Pruett and Judy Belle (Province) Pruett, she was a homemaker, a lifelong member of the community and a member of the Rector First United Methodist Church. She was married to Charles Eugene Elsass on July 29, 1922.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant child; two brothers, Carl Pruett and Martin Pruett, and two nephews, Bill Cope and Ralph Pruett.
Survivors include one sister, Mildred Cope of Marmaduke; two nephews, Don Pruett and Bill Pruett, and one niece, Shirley Blakemore.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Rev. Larry Martineau officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
