He was born on June 11, 1921, in Pollard, the son of the late Richard Lawton and Tennie May Nicholas Brady.
He was united in marriage to Dortha Sue Renard on Jan. 20, 1940. They had seven children. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2000.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Brady and Oliver Brady; two sisters, Florence Knuckles and Ethel Wilkes; and one great-grandson, Justin Allen Alsup.
He was a member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church and was a retired farmer.
He is survived by three sons, Bobby Wayne Brady of Rector, Richard "Rick" Henry Brady of Paragould and Charles Daniel Brady of Rector; four daughters, Margie Louise Richardson of Paragould, Wilma Sharon Small of Rector, Betty Fay Small of Rector and Linda Mae Bridges of Paragould; 30 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with David Dodd and Donny Morris officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Rector. Pallbearers were Andy Small, Linal Dodd, Harold Small, Heath Brady, Steven Lamar and Chris Brady.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
