Dale Stafford, 77, of Marmaduke died Sunday, July 24, 2005.

Born Nov. 11, 1927, in Rector to the late Ollie and Charlene Stafford, he was a crop adjuster and a member of the First Baptist Church in Marmaduke.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Stafford.

Survivors include his wife, Viva Mae Stafford of Marmaduke; two sons, Jimmy D. Stafford of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Jesse W. Stafford of Jonesboro; one step-daughter, Carolyn Vines of Oklahoma City, Okla; two sisters, Faye Harris of Mountainburg and Wanda Hollander of Byers, Colo.; five grandchildren, Shelby, Jess, Jarrett, John and Bethany Stafford, and one great-grandchild, Colin Stafford.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating. Burial was in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery in Marmaduke with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were John Stafford, Jarett Stafford, Danny Stafford, Gene Trantham, Bual Cox and John Kennedy.
