She was born Jan. 9, 1928, to the late Charles and Cora Opal (Caldwell) Faught and was married April 14, 1945, to Elmo Carlton, who died March 30, 1998. She also was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Mrs. Carlton was a member of the Full Gospel (Union) Church in Edgar Springs. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed selling produce at the local farmers' market for 20-plus years.
Survivors include three children, Kenneth Carlton, Larry Carlton and wife Evelyn, and Linda Carlton, all of Edgar Springs; three sisters, Jerlene Fowler and Joyce Sparks of Rector and Glenda Fields of Paragould; two brothers, Charles Faught Jr. of Rector and Johnny Crosno of Lakeland, Fla.; one granddaughter, Cassidy Carlton; brother-in-law, Clifford Carlton, of the home, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, June 24, at the Full Gospel (Union) Church in Edgar Springs with Rev. Fred Hamilton officiating. Interment was in Edgar Springs Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Full Gospel Church of Edgar Springs. Arrangements were under the direction of Null & Son Funeral Home of Rolla.
