Frank J. Doty, 67, of Piggott died Monday, June 20, 2005, at his residence.

He was born July 13, 1937, in Fagus, the son of the late William Herbert and Ruby Genevia Hosea Doty.

He was united in marriage to Arvella Moore on Sept. 17, 1977.

Mr. Doty was a member of the Fagus General Baptist Church in Fagus, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Herbert Doty and Ruby Genevia Hosea Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Arvella Doty; two sons, William Bailey and wife, Pat, of Poplar Bluff and Todd Doty and wife, Sarita, of Bryon, Ga.; three daughters, Kay Wilkerson and husband, Gary, of Poplar Bluff, Debbie Law and husband, Darrell, of Poplar Bluff and Glenda Burkett and husband, James Haarmeyer, of Poplar Bluff; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie Wright of Fagus; two sisters, Wanda Morris of Knobel, Ark., and Jean Morris of Rector; one brother-in-law, Arnold Moore and wife, Dorothy, of Poplar Bluff; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (today), June 22, 2005, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Rev. Gary Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in the Cummins Chapel Cemetery at Pollard. Active pallbearers will be Johnny O'Conner, James Haarmeyer, Michael Bailey, James Law, Tom South and Charles Hosea. Honorary pallbearers will include Terry Hosea, Ethan Lambert and Joe Lambert.
