Eugene Seay

Eugene Seay, 81, of Rector died Thursday, June 2, 2005, at Paragould.

Born May 29, 1924, in Clay County to the late Leslie and Minnie Seay, he was a retired farmer and a member of the First General Baptist Church in Marmaduke.

He also was preceded in death by his wife, Doshie Seay.

He is survived by one son, Gallie Seay of Paragould; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vergena and Allen Collier of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Yvonna and Jim Markum of Paragould; one brother, A.J. Seay of Ogden, Utah; one sister, Etoile Myers of Sacramento, Calif.; a very special friend, Vivian Pentecost of Paragould; two grandchildren, Jason Collier of Grand Prairie and Jeannie Seay of Paragould; 10 step-grandchildren and one great-great step-grandchild.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector with Bro. Marston Carpenter and Bro. James Henry Dortch officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Kennard Johnson, Earl Parrish, Kerwin Hurt, Tim Eason, Clift Carter Jr. and Jack Pollack.

Honorary pallbearers were Elders of the First General Baptist Church, David Stanfield and Clint Carter.
