James William "Jim" Wooldridge

James William "Jim" Wooldridge, 91, of Pocahontas, formerly of Marmaduke, died Monday, May 30, 2005, at Randolph County Hospital in Pocahontas.

A retired farmer and railroad brakeman, he was born Sept. 30, 1913, in Thayer, Mo., to the late William Dolphus Wooldridge and Sarah Elizabeth (Huff) Wooldridge. He was married Oct. 14, 1933, to Lola Mae Dortch Wooldridge, who died in December 1976, and later married Mabel Smooth Wooldridge, who died in December 1995.

He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Francis Laquita Wooldridge, in 1934. He was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Eddie Wooldridge of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Donnie and Anne Wooldridge of Woodstock, Ga.; one daughter and son-in-law, Ella Mae and Bill Kincade of Pocahontas; one sister, Alice Dortch of California, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, June 1) at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Marmaduke with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery at Knob. Pallbearers will be Jim Ed Wooldridge, Craig Wooldridge, Amon Wooldridge, Kelly Ray, Barry Kirkland and Kenneth Kirkland.
