Lucie Virginia "Eve" Moseley

Lucie Virginia "Eve" Moseley, 85, of Jonesboro, formerly of Rector, died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born Jan. 26, 1920, in Marmaduke to the late Wilder Carpenter and Lucie Viola (Flack) Carpenter, she was a beautician and a member of the Nettleton Church of Christ.

She also was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Bernard "Bucket" Moseley in 1982; four brothers, Spencer Carpenter, George Carpenter, Davis Carpenter and Wilder Carpenter, and four sisters, Ida Bradsher, Mary Clopton, Beulah Bradsher and Mildred Tinsley.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Owen and Wanda Jo Moseley of Jonesboro; two grandchildren and their spouses, Don Alan and Alison Moseley of Rogers and Christy Ann and Tommy Blakeney of Jonesboro; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Jacob Moseley and Alyssa Blakeney, and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Fifth and Pine Church of Christ in Rector with Owen Moseley, Jerry Thompson and Jimmy Young officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Weldin Wimberley, Donnie Reynolds, Bill Benson, Hoss Phillips, Earl Clayton and Ken Roden.
