Born Sept. 5, 2005, in Hartselle, Ala., to the late Emmett Steed and Ruby (Woods) Steed, he was in maintenance with Rockford Tool and Die, a Navy veteran and a member of the Stonewall Community Church.
He also was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Steed; one sister, Faye Steed, and one grandson, Stephen Sims.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Steed of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rusty and Kathy Zorn and Lee and Pam Steed, both of Paragould; four daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Larry Seago of Tishamingo, Miss., Dawn and Mike Farmer of Marmaduke, Diane and Junior Sims of Knob and Micki and Terrya Cox of Sugar Hill, Ga.; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Shirley Steed of Campbell, Mo.; 13 grandchildren, Bobby Farmer, Crystal Hood, Jonathan Kersy, Mitchell Farmer, Carrie Sims, Shayla Farmer, Travis Kersey, Bradley Cox, Amanda Steed, Matthew Zorn, Faith Steed, Julie Cox and Jacob Kersey, and four great-grandchildren, Braxton Hood, Hayden Farmer, Donivan Kersey and Camden Farmer.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, April 13) at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Marmaduke with Bro. Gary Holcomb officiating. Burial was in Providence Cemetery west of Marmaduke with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
