Born April 8, 1934, in Rector to the late Joe Gilkison and Julie (Layne) Gilkison, she was a special education teacher, an antique dealer, a member of the Chruch of Christ and had lived most of her life in this community.
She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Darrell Busby, in 1991; two brothers, Eugene Gilkison and Randel Gilkison, and two sisters, Blanche Gilkison and Gladys Turnbo.
Survivors include her husband, Tom Pratt of the home; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael Stephen Busby, Darrell Christopher Busby of Rector and Joseph Randell and Ann Busby of Bald Knob; two step-sons and one step-daughter-in-law, Lindell and Merla Faye Pratt and Terry Pratt, all of Jonesboro; one daughter and companion, Dana Jeanne Busby and Ralph Wayne Horner of Rector; one step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Barbara and Leon Johnson of St. Louis; two brothers, Jerry William Gilkison of Rector and Joe Gilkison of California; one sister Esther Kitterman of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren, Lindy Busby, Jamie Busby, Amanda Jeanne Busby, Joseph Scott, Michelle Moody, Danielle Rose, Joseph Randell Busby, Brandy Busby and Jennifer Busby, and six great-grandchildren, Kayla Busby, Kelsey Busby, Chelsey Scott, Chance Scott, Lexie Green and Chloe Busby.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel with Ken Roden officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home of Rector in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Greg Kitterman, John Kitterman, Kevin Jones, Michael Stephen Busby, Danny Turnbo and Chris Crawford.
