She was born March 15, 1927, in Rector to the late Henry Lee and Bertha Ann (Roberts) Alstadt.
She was a 1944 graduate of Rector High School, a 1948 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Social Welfare, a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and Sisterhood of PEO, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Paragould.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Robert Preston "Bob" Bland Sr.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Preston and Donna Bland of Paragould; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Riley Vanhorn of Paragould; three grandchildren, Rob and Gina Bland of Franklin, Tenn., Anna Vanhorn of Fayetteville and Jonathan Vanhorn of Paragould, and one great-granddaughter, Delaney Bland of Franklin, Tenn.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at the First United Methodist Church in Paragould with Rev. Bill Williams and Rev. David Moseley officiating. Burial was in Linwood Cemetery with Heath Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Jason Bland, Jake Bland, Rob Ratton, Luke Cook, John Cook and Caleb Williams.
