Dorthy Ann Thompson, 89, of Rector, died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at Doniphan, Mo.

She was born Dec. 1, 1915, in Dexter, Mo., to the late Charles and Etta Ellis. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church.

She also was preceded in death by her husband, James Cecil Thompson; one son, Donnie J. Thompson, and one daugter, Glenda Thompson.

Survivors include four sons, John Franklin Thompson of Kissimmee, Fla.,, Ronald Cecil Thompson of Greenway, Jackie Wayne Thompson of Marseilles, Ill., and Roy Glen Thompson of South Beloit, Ill.; four daughters, Wilma J. Gorman of Bristow, Okla., Patsy Clark of Twascity, Mich., Joy Boatman of Bartles, Okla., and Linda K. Priest of Elwood, Ill.; three brothers, Charles L. Ellis of Maynard, Ezra Ellis of Corning and Auther D. Ellis of Success; one sister, Virgie Mae Jordan of Success, 26 grandchildren and 61 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Bowman and Bro. Phillip Larue officiating. Burial was in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis with Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector in charge of arrangements.
