He was born June 30, 1941, in Corning to the late Urby and Leoffie (Williams) Gregory.
He was a General Baptist minister, most recently pastoring at Blue Cross General Baptist Church in Paragould. He ministered for 33 years, having pastored churches in Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee and other places in Arkansas, including Rector, where he was pastor of the Rector First General Baptist Church.
He served as an international missionary to Jamaica, national missionary to Florida and was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.
He also was preceded in death by his in-laws, Charles and Ada Arnold White, and one brother, Curtis Eugene Gregory.
Survivors include his wife, Sue, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Melissa Gregory of Marmaduke; one daughter and son-in-law, Janette and Boyce Hill of Paragould; seven sisters, Glennia Hoggard of Paragould, Shirley Hatcher of Rogue River, Ore., Billie Reddick of Grove, Okla., Louise Jones, Wanda Morris and Betty Morris, all of Cherokee Village, and Urbylene Ward of Paragould; one brother, Bob Gregory of Paragould; five grandchildren, Tanner, Keller, Mackenzie and Abby Hill and Lee Ann Gregory, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Grace United General Baptist Church in Paragould with Rev. Kermit Patton, Rev.George Haygood and Rev. James Henry Dortch officiating. Burial was in Providence Cemetery at Lafe with Heath Funeral Home of Paragould in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were his nephews.
