She was born Feb. 4, 1910, in Knob to the late John Thomas and Arzella Lucy.
She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Tarpley, and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include four sons, Glenn Tarpley of Lafe, Daniel Tarpley of Lemay, Mo., Melvin Tarpley of Lafe and Hershel Tarpley of Marmaduke; one daughter, Wanda Owens of Lafe; one nephew, Burnise Hampton of Florida; two nieces, Jane Sherrs and Patsy Baylock, both of Wynne; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Mark Massey officiating. Burial was in Rock Springs Cemetery in Knob with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Junior Johnson, Larry Howe, Timothy Bryant, Greg Shatley, Wayne Nickleson and Ben Yancey.
