John William Beaver, 72, of Piggott, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, in the St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born June 26, 1931, in Rector, son of the late Everett Raymond and Eva Lillian Kreigle Beaver.

On Dec. 21, 1955, he was united in marriage to Mildred Angeline Belyew. To this union five children were born.

He worked at Piggott Tractor and Equipment for fifty years.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lester Beaver, Cloyse Beaver and Robert Beaver.

He is survived by his wife of the home; five children, John Gregory Beaver and wife, Brenda, of Gulfport, Miss., Paula Marie Nash and husband, Richard, of Dennard, Ark., Larry Neal Beaver and wife, Susan, of Port St. John, Fla., Lorrie Irene Kinard and husband, Robert, of Hazen, Ark., and Lisa Eileen Wallis of Poplar Bluff; ten grandchildren, Owen Beaver, Patrick Beaver, Bridgett Nelson, Melanie Nash, Mandy Nash, Justin Beaver, Emily Beaver, Trevor Wallis, Derek Wallis and Kelsey Kinard; five great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob, Owen Jr., Austin and Mason Beaver; one brother, James Beaver of Piggott; one sister, Evanell Turner of Piggott; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 14, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Bro. Mike Book and Bro. Charles Smith officiating.

Pallbearers were Carl Pollard, Charles Pollard, Dallas Pollard, Donald Benson, Don Markum, and Steve Hill.

Burial was in the Piggott Cemetery with Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott in charge of arrangements.
