Dalton D. Priest, 67, of Keego Harber, Mich., died Saturday, April 10, at his home.

He was born Sept. 20, 1936, in Rector to the late Mr. and Mrs. Pat Priest. He also was preceded in death by one sister, Alene Jolly of Marmaduke, and two brothers, Robert Hamm of Michigan and James Hamm of Rector.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy; two children, Gabriel and Diane Lugo and Daniel and Michelle Priest, all of Michigan; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Jenna, Juliet, Alexandria, Blake and Claudia, all of Michigan; three brothers, Duane Priest of Waterford, Mich., Doyle Waugh of Rector and Gene Hamm of Jonesboro, and one sister, Patsy Hacker of North Carolina.

Mr. Priest retired from the Pontiac school system, and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Pontiac-Waterford BPOE #810, a life member of the NRA and an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.

A celebration of his life was held at 11 a.m. April 13 at Donelson, Johns & Evans Funeral Home in Waterford with a friend, Rev. Suzanne Walls, officiating. Interment was in Crescent Hill Cemetery.
