Gracie Nadine Scallion

Gracie Nadine Scallion, 69, of Paragould died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

She was born Aug. 14, 1934, in Poughkeepsie to the late Clint and Ruby Burr.

She was a homemaker and a member of the White Oak Baptist Church.

She also was preceded in death by her husband, Acy Joe Scallion; one daughter, Donna Gene Burr, and two brothers, Lavon and Eugene Burr.

Survivors include one son, David Michael Scallion and wife Angela Sue of Paragould; two brothers, C.D. Burr of White Oak, Mo., and Jack Burr of Michigan; four sisters, Sandy B. Kauffman of Stockton, Calif., and Joan Faries, Phillis Huggons and Sandra K. Burr, all of Paragould; two grandchildren, Amber and Brady Scallion of Paragould; two step-grandchildren, Amy Lindsey of Paragould and Rickey Campbell of Iraq, and two step great-grandchildren, Jeramy and Jasmine Campbell of Germany.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, April 23, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Jimmy Parrish officiating. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery at Greenway with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Danny Burr, Lennie Burr, Bruce Burr, Chris Faries, Ricky Mills and Ronald Hampton.

Honorary pallbearers were Timmy Lindsey, Danny Willcut and Tony Sanders.
