Roy Jessie Wilcoxson

Roy Jessie Wilcoxson, 83, of Lafe, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

He was born April 8, 1920, in Lexington, Ala., to the late William Jessie Wilcoxson and Viola (Michael) Wilcoxson.

He was an auto mechanic and attended Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Wilcoxson also was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella (Daily) Wilcoxson; two daughters, Peggy Wilcoxson and Teresa Wilcoxson; three brothers, Ray Wilcoxson, Johnny Wilcoxson and Dallas Wilcoxson, and one sister, Pearline Wilcoxson.

He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Larry Catt, Elaine and Bob Morris of Knob and Marcia and Roger Farmer of Fenton, Mo.; four brothers, Tony Wilcoxson of Lafe, Dobbin Wilcoxson of East Peoria, Ill., Ralph Wilcoxson of Lema, Tenn., and Jessie Wilcoxson of Milliford, Mich.; two sisters, Hazel Reed of Biggers and Lucille Halm of Newaygo, Mich.; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Eldon Parrish officiating. Burial was in Purcell Cemetery west of Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Ed Halcomb, Gaylon Wilcoxson, Bob Birdsell, Bill Buazard, Manzo Parrish and Keith Parrish.

Honorary pallbearers were Robert Prince and Dennis Parrish.
