He was born Jan. 6, 1941 in Ravenden Springs, son of Cletus and Mary Crain.
A U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a tool and die maker with World Color until retirement.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Jonesboro. He was also a member of the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge #129 and a past State President of the Arkansas Society Sons of the American Revolution.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn June Crain; and one brother, Luster Ray Crain.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Miller Crain of Jonesboro; his parents; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph Earl Crain Jr. and wife, Trina, and Brian Scott Crain and wife, Jamie, all of Jonesboro; one brother, Gaylon Crain of Jonesboro; one sister, Cleata Daniel of Jonesboro; and two grandchildren, Jonathan and Kaylee Crain of Jonesboro.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (today), April 7, at Mithcell Funeral Home Chapel in Paragould with Barry Crain and Jerry Jolly officiating.
Burial was at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home, Inc. of Paragould in charge of arrangements.
