She was born Nov. 8, 1939, in the Ring Community of Clay County. She was retired from Headstart and worked at Basler Electric. She attended the Corning Y Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Leon Wood; her father, Horace Moore; and one daughter, Debbie Faries.
Survivors include her mother, Ila Moore of Corning; three daughters, Rhonda Hollowell Hovis and Brenda Hollowell Arnold, both of Corning, and Melinda Hollowell Calhoun of Hardy; two brothers, Robert Moore of Campbell, and Donald Moore of Poplar Bluff; seven grandchildren, Brandi Faries and Ashely Faries, both of Rector, Mitchell Hovis, Nick Arnold, and Haley Arnold, all of Corning, and Jonathan VanNada and Hayden Calhoun both of Hardy; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning with the Rev. Cecil Slavens and the Rev. Carl McKinney officiating. Burial followed in the Corning Cemetery in Corning.
Ermert Funeral Home of Corning was in charge of the arrangements.
