Eva Jean Underwood

Eva Jean Underwood, 66, of Little Rock, formerly of Marmaduke, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, at St. Vincent's Doctor's Hospice in Little Rock.

She was born May 24, 1937, in Dell, Ark., to the late Holton Carner and Virginia (Smith) Carner.

She was a homemaker and a member of Marmaduke First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, J.C. Underwood.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James and Kristi Underwood of Ventura, Calif.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and James Woods of Mayflower and Pamela and David McCauley of Benton; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Phil and Cheryl Carner and Eddie Carner, all of Paragould; one sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Neil Self of Huntsville, Ala.; six grandchildren, Jeremy woods, Dustin McCauley, Erin Woods, Daniel McCauley, Shyla Underwood and Jenna Underwood, and one great-grandchild, Cali.

Funeral services were at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at First Baptist Church in Marmaduke with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating.
