Joyce Adavee Pillow

Joyce Adavee Pillow, 61, of Greenway died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

She was born May 23, 1942, in McDougal to the late Odis Cleo and Edna Nixon Gilbee and was married Sept. 17, 1960, to James S. Pillow, who survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Maria Barner and husband, Terry, of Lafe and Karen Stender and husband, Thomas, of Greenway; one son, Shannon Pillow and wife, Mary, of Greenway; two grandchildren, Jason and Amanda; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin Gilbee and wife, Mary, of Overland, Mo., and Odis Gilbee and wife, Norma, of Rector; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Hoggard and Sons Chapel in Piggott with George Haygood officiating. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery at Greenway.

Pallbearers were Stevie Hardin, Buryl Petty, Allen Gardner, Hardin Hill, Mike Hill and Virgil Broadway Jr. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements.
