Born Aug. 19, 1930, in Greene County to the late Zephra and Maggie Thrasher, he was a farmer, a lifelong member of the community and of the Baptist faith.
He also was preceded in death by one sister, Glenda Blackburn.
He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Joy Thrasher of Paragould and Cloyce and Brenda Thrasher of Warrenton, Mo.; one sister and two brothers-in-law, Loretta and Bill Caldwell of Greensburg, Ind., and Charles Blackburn of Clarkton, Mo., and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. James Henry Dortch officiating. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Bill Vangilder, James Vangilder, Buddy Dills, Avery George, James Watson and Todd Watson.
