He was born Dec. 2, 1951, in Portland Ore., to Marion Shelton and Jewell Nelson Shelton.
He was a factory worker, a member of the National Guard, a veteran of the Marine Corps and of the Baptist faith.
He was married to Song Suk Shelton in Korea Aug. 31, 1979.
He is survived by his parents, Marion and Jewell Shelton; his wife, Song Shelton, of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Randy Lee Shelton, Jr., of Rector and Charlie and Claudie Shelton of Paragould; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sanhwa and Kevin Brown of Rector and Sunny and Dustin Wagster of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Steve Shelton and Reggie Shelton, both of Burton, Mich.; three sisters, Margie Bacon of Burton, Mich., Vickie Frappier of Flushing, Mich., and Patty Goettsch of Youngstown, Ohio; one grandchild, Ethin Shelton, and a host of relatives and friends.
Memorial services were at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Allen Bacon officiating. Irby Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.
