She was born Dec. 28, 1958, in Corning and was married Aug. 27, 1977, to Herbert Faries, who survives.
She was the director and a teacher at James W. Graves Head Start Center in Rector and was a member of the Corning Y Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Faries, of the home; two daughters, Brandi Faries, of the home, and Ashley Faries, of Rector; three grandchildren, Ryder Collins, Tanner Faries and Sierra Beadles, all of Rector; her mother, Alma Wood, of Corning; her father and stepmother, Junior and April Hollowell of Naylor, Mo.; grandmother, Ila Moore, of Corning, and seven sisters, Rhonda Hovis and Brenda Arnold of Corning, Melinda Calhoun of Hardy, Christy Martin of Maynard and Tiffany Burton, Tanya Hollowell and Cheyenne Hollowell, all of Naylor.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Jimmy Parrish officiating. Burial was in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery near Marmaduke with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Danny Hollowell, Greg Hollowell, Scotty Hollowell, Mike Hovis, Gary Gillipsie and Steve Gillipsie.
