Pauline Florence Tippitt, 88, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Rector Health Care.

She was born July 8, 1915, in Dexter, Mo., the daughter of the late Harvey Leon Henry and Rosa Strait Henry.

She was united in marriage in 1936 to Clarence Columbus Tippitt. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1998.

Mrs. Tippitt was a homemaker and a member of Post Oak Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ira Tippitt and Don O'Dell; two brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by three sons, Richard Leon Tippitt of Piggott, Coma Lee Tippitt of Jonesboro and Hubert Glenn Tippitt of Rector; two daughters, Melba Bilyeu of Warrenton, Mo., and Irene Roofe of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Owen Little officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro. Mrs. Tippitt's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday (today), Dec. 31, at Irby Funeral Home.
