She was born Sept. 8, 1911, in Leonard to the late George and May Tinsley.
She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, A.L. "Happy" Thomas, and one brother, Gilbert Tinsley.
She is survived by her husband of almost 75 years, Ott Thomas of Rector; one brother, Melvin Tinsley of Shelbyville, Ind.; three sisters, Flora Lee Wells of Greensburg, Ind., Nadine Bogue of Morristown, Ind., and Marlene and John Linville of Morriston, Ind.; four grandchildren, Wilma Osbon of Paragould, Judy Thomas of Rector, Mary Pribnow of Wisconsin and Larry Jones of Texas, nine great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with William Vangilder officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Tommy Jordan, Daren Jordan, Brian Wesley, Mark Thomas, David Smith and Randy Tracer. The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimers Association.
