Margaret Alene Jolly

Margaret Alene Jolly, 84, of Marmaduke died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould.

She was born Oct. 19, 1920, in Cash to the late John B. Priest and Melissa Bess Priest.

She was a homemaker, a member of Marmaduke First Baptist Church, and a lifelong member of the community.

She was married Sept. 19, 1935, in Cash to Marvin V. Jolly, who preceded her in death Dec. 3, 1978.

She also was preceded in death by two step-brothers, Robert Hamm and James Hamm.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Kay Jolly of Marmaduke; two grandchildren, Pam and Shadd Stokes of Marmaduke and Marvin Lee Jolly of Marmaduke; two brothers, Duane Priest and Dalton Priest, both of Pontiac, Mich.; two step-brothers, Doyle Waugh of Rector and Edward Hamm of Jonesboro; one sister, Patsy Hacker of Virginia, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Marmaduke with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating. Burial was in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were David Vanhorn, Harry Highfill, Ben Whitaker, Jerry Don McIntosh, Jeremy Farmer and Shadd Stokes.
