He was born April 21, 1927, in Clay County to the late Walter and Ola Mae Wade. He was a shipping clerk, an Army veteran of WWII, and a member of the Westview Baptist church in Paragould.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter E. Wade and Ola Mae Berry Wade; and one brother, Donald Wade.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Rebecca Wade of Jonesboro; one step-son and wife, Larry and Beverly Lyles of Thayer, MO; and two grandchildren, Tanner Wade and Holly Wade.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Brother Leon Johnson officiating.
Irby Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Bernard's Hospice.
