Mary Lucille Butler, 86, of Paragould died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

She was born March 28, 1917, in Rector, the daughter of the late George and Ida Stallings. She was a housewife and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death her husband, Olan Butler, one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include three sons, A.W. "Wilfred" Butler of Bearden, Ark., Faris Lee Butler of Thomasville, Ala., and Danny Butler of Dallas; three daughters, Mildred Douthit of Jacinta,Calif., Mary Sue Butler of Spring, Texas, and Crystal Dempsey of Paragould; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Gary Cox officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallberers were Michael Butler, Denis Butler, Scott Butler, David Butler, Mike Dempsey, Jr., and Richard Douthit.

Honorary pallbearers were Dean Butler, Farris Lee and Wilfred Butler.
