End of School Year

As everyone knows, the end of the school year can get pretty hectic and busy. For instance, today was Honor's Day and Friday will be graduation. Events like these have students running around, setting up chairs and decorations, and making everything look presentable for the community. Today was very good with many students taking home awards.

Last Friday was the annual Academy Choice Awards held by the drama department. The dinner was catored by The Traveling Whisk and was quiet delicious. Awards were given out with Josh White and Amanda Layer recieving Best Major Actor and Actress award of the year. A performance of Stage 27 was also shown.

This past Monday was the Athletic Banquet. Coach Nate Henderson cooked barbeque to perfection. Awards were given out by all coaches and the cheerleading sponsors. The male and female atheletes of the year were Logan Buck and Hilary Calhoun. The night was full of emotion but neverless exciting.

On any given Saturday that it is not raining, you can hear lawnmowers everywhere. That sound is a relief to my ears. To think that only a few months ago all you could hear was chainsaws and leaf blowers. Its great to see that our town is getting back to normal.

Well the school year is down to two weeks and counting. Every student is quiet excited to move on, or if you're a sixth grader to move up to high school. As of Friday night after graduation, I will be a senior. It's unbelieveable to think that 12 years ago I walked into elementary as a young child. The years have flown by but it has been memorable, every step of the way.
