It's going to be a big weekend in Rector with the community's first-ever state tournament in any sport.

Sixteen teams from across the state will compete for the Class 2A State Softball Championship.

It all takes place at Jeremy McDaniel Memorial Sports Complex beginning at noon Friday and continuing on Saturday afternoon and Monday afternoon.

The finals will be the following Saturday at Fayetteville.
